Tell us about yourself?
“How can I give back locally and help others across the world?” We need to ask ourselves this every day. I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta with strong ties to many of the diverse communities in Calgary and surrounding area. I have always been passionate about helping others and advocating for people in a way that reflects kindness and compassion. My passion and creativity are expressed in a way that is distinctly unique and has motivated me to develop the Made it With Love Initiative.
What do you make and create?
Handmade Therapeutic Rice Bags
Mobiles and Wall Hangings
What makes them uniquely handmade?
I hand make our art and its full of love. There is a unique design to each piece that I create which cannot be replicated; we can try to make one alike, but majority of our supplies or styles are one of a kind or we only have a few to utilize for the year. Each piece is as unique as the amazing people who purchase our products!
When did you first get started in the handmade world?
2010 – Its when I created our first mobile installation!
What made you or how did you get started in the handmade world?
he people of Calgary and the surrounding community made – Made It With Love. We genuinely care about what your needs are and how we can produce what you are looking for. We love utilizing natural elements like wood and glass for our mobiles, we love to up-cycle from something which was seen as waste.
What or who inspires you or your business (creations)?
Mother Nature – She produces beauty everyday. We often take her for granted; without her we would not be able to sustain life as we know it. My family and Friends – They were the first people to show me Love and Support. They inspire me to create beauty, bring love and laughter to the world. Alex Grey – He is a unique artist full of heart and soul.
